What You’ll Find Here

Nofo Times is a guide for people who want to enjoy the North Fork a little more fully — whether that means finding a better beach, a quieter trail, a favorite farm stand, a good place to eat, or just a better way to spend a weekend out east.

The North Fork has a way of getting into people. For some, it starts with the wineries. For others, it is the beaches, the fishing, the farm stands, the back roads, the little towns, or the feeling you get when you are out there on a summer evening and do not want the day to end. Nofo Times was built for people who already know that feeling, and for people who are just starting to discover it.

About Nofo Times

Nofo Times was created by someone who has loved the East End for most of his life.

Growing up, some of his favorite memories were family trips to Shelter Island, including one weekend each summer at The Pridwin. He loved fishing, eating shelled peas from the old farm stands, and dreaming that one day he might have a place out east of his own.

In college, that connection deepened with day trips to the North Fork with friends — especially winery days that usually included stops at farm stands, beaches, and whatever else made the day feel memorable.

In his 20s, he came back again for the Shelter Island 5K and spent another night at The Pridwin. Back then, the hallway doors still had the old slatted panels that made the place feel like a time capsule from another era.

In 2016, that long-held dream became real when he bought a house on the North Fork. Since then, he has spent the last ten years there with his wife and kids, especially during the warmer months, spending time at the beach, fishing whenever possible, clamming, crabbing, and walking the nature trails that make the area so special.

But some of his favorite times out east are quieter ones too — the off-season weekends, the stillness of winter, and the kind of beauty the North Fork has when the crowds are gone and the landscape feels even more peaceful.

Ever since buying that house, he had another dream too: building websites focused on the North Fork so more people could discover what makes it such an amazing place and enjoy it the way he and his family have.

In 2026, that dream finally came true.

These sites were built for people who love the North Fork already, and for people who are just starting to discover why so many of us do.
